Cogges has multiple goats, amongst which was this one, who I'm sure is a favourite of many visitors. and the blues of the distant hills looked subtle and captivating while the sheep bleating on the slopes nearby kept me grounded

I scouted the area for days before painting this scene

where a natural composition was created with iceberg roses climbing upwards and framed against the limpid blue sky

with a view of the River Windrush as it flows under a spectacular summer sky with sunlight breaking through fluffy white clouds
