Poderi Colla, Tenuta Roncaglia, Roncaglie 2021, Barbaresco'Roncaglie is acknowledged to be one of the best crus in the whole of Barbaresco.' The Poderi Colla vineyards have a southerly exposure and is situated at between 240 and 280 metres above sea level. Some of the vines were planted in 1970, some in 1980 and some in 1995. Vine density is around 4,000 to 5,000 plants per hectare and the average yield is 4,000 litres per hectare. Harvesting is usually done between 5th to 15th October. The Nebbiolo grapes

and the local Pecorino variety is the perfect match

creating an intense wine combining local rusticity with everyday drinking

resulting in official Respekt certification for all estate wines

There is perfect balance of freshness and richness

and gentle oaky notes

but was really widely planted after the 1939 earthquake that affected the Maule

unoaked and mouth-filling white with peach and apricot aromas on the nose

They now own and lease (from other family members) some 20 hectares of 1er Cru vineyards in the Côtes de Blancs and all exclusively from the limestone and pure chalk soils of Vertus

The conversion to biodynamic viticulture began in 2006

and Les Trois Schistes is a blend of all three with 100% Chenin Blanc
