Van Wyk Family Wines Rebecca May 2024A fragrant and refreshing (southern Rhone inspired) light bodied red blend of 72% Cinsaut, 14% Grenache and 14% Syrah. Medium bodied with fragrant boysenberry perfume, red fruit flavours and a juicy texture. Predominantly fermented as whole bunches and basket pressed, followed by maturation in 3rd and 4th fill French oak barrels for 7 months before bottling. Awards 5 Stars by 2026 Platter's Guide

Medium-bodied with fragrant boysenberry perfume

with firm tannins and a long-lasting finish

Produced from Pinot Noir vines with clones 115 & 113 yielding 8 tonnes per hectare

A beautifully defined palate with long-grained tannins and a mouth-watering acidity carries the fruit and the spices to an emphatic finish

along with spicier notes of baking spice

Concentrated dark fruits (blackcurrants

lavender and cinnamon adds a complexity to the otherwise fruit-forward wine

with delicate hints of oak

The wine is then aged for 10 months in 228L Burgundian oak barrels

no further additions were made

meticulously sorted and batch-vinified

which will hold up incredibly well over the next 8 – 10 years
