Neri ChasubleOur Neri range is an interesting shape appearing a little more full than the traditional Roman cut, and featuring a Tau orphrey on the front of the chasuble. These outline orphreys are made from the highest quality gold metallic braid and are a perfect complement to our rich 'Goya' brocade, which makes up the main body of the vestments. The 'Goya', designed by David Gazeley, is reminiscent of Spanish baroque aesthetics with the pattern repeat taking
paying tribute to our founders
The original Benson cope is part of the Elizabeth Hoare Collection of Embroidery at Liverpool Cathedral
Similar patterns can be seen in the works of Hans Memling and other works of the Flemish School
The red in this range is made in a 100% Wool
as the outline of the floral pattern has been retraced with additional embroidery
