Now the estate has 65 hecters of its own vines producing great wines. Typical blend, Nebiollo. 75cl bottle. Abv 13. 5% Bottle condition excellent.
The original Chateau remains in Lynch Moussas

Appellation laws permit a little Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend
but everything you would want from Gaja
Despite the mid-shoulder fill this is very alive and intact
top shoulder

Weather conditions were uneven and although it was a large crop the wines were overpriced on release and the vintage was responsible for the financial collapse of the Bordeaux market
but flowering came on time and there was no frost in the Bekaa Valley
From 1983 vintage onwards considered to have made very good wines in almost every vintage
