Chateau Cheval Blanc Vintage 1993Sadly the third not great vintage in a row, but marginally better than 1991 or 1992. Robert Parker said when reviewing this wine. Cheval Blanc managed to produce a medium bodied, tasty wine. Typical blend, Cabernet Franc, Merlot. 75cl bottle. Abv 12. 5% Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level in neck.

As a result these ports are quite rare

however at a recent tasting (September 2022) this wine showed well

and melted butter

It was called RWT

I think that time has shown that 1979 has turned out to have lasted better than it was originally thought it would

However at tasting in March 2018 Jancis Robinson found it 'Impressive and still quite youthful'

but none the less produced by the famous domaine from vines on the Hermitage hill

but a blend and so no vintage year

fully resolved

The Port becomes more complex over time

Whilst nor quite as powerful as its big brother it always exhibits similar traits

of Pomerol's Chateau Petrus
