There are import hallmarks on the side of the lid and the rim of the base

There are light surface scratches / marks with some slightly heavier around the edge - see close up picture

An unusual and striking Victorian silver vesta with a top ring

The interior is in super condition as is the decoration which is still crisp and undamaged

They are only visible on close inspection and from certain angles

The hallmarks are clear but a little rubbed

The feature hallmark is clear and crisp except for rubbing to the date letter although this is still legible

Very good with no damage just showing very minor surface marks commensurate with age and use and some minor tarnishing again commensurate with age and light polishing

The blade is slightly misshapen  at the tip which is very slightly crumpled

The vesta opens and closes well
