The slightly extended design (2 mm forward compared to factory safety) improves thumb placement and gives more consistent grip during shooting. The enlarged shield provides better support for the thumb, which helps maintain stable grip and faster safety manipulation. Designed and tested by IPSC World Champion Eric Grauffel.
