It's also famed for a historic stone building built in 1884 and itself a former winery building. Typical blend Cabernet Sauvignon (85%), Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot. 75cl bottle. Abv 14% Bottle condition, capsule excellent, label excellent, wine level in neck.
A lovely vintage for the Napa Valley
I don't know much about this producer
and again with that charcoal grill/meaty note

it being absorbed into another estate
The 1952 vintage produced hard tannic wines that took an age to soften
What a pleasure - not a wine I'd ever expected to try
Bought in 1964 and for many years growing grapes for neighbouring wineries
most preferring 1966
nose all emerge
The acids are somewhat pronounced
