I loved the aspect of the manor house in the distance

and finished with Gamvar gloss varnish

An original en plein air painting of a field of rapeseed in full bloom

especially in an exploration of the light of the setting sun against the buildings and sparkling water

The deep red of the curtains and the fresh white of the tablecloth seemed to bring out the delicate beauty of the cut flowers placed in crystal vases on the table

not stopped by the pollarded trees

and the tide had already risen so there was no way to safely venture to the tidal island in the background of this piece
