This fabric came to us from a Pugin vestment from St Augustine's Abbey, Ramsgate, and this range is complimented by a re weaving of an original Pugin orphrey braid. This design reflects Pugin's 14th and 15th century influences both in England and the Low Countries. Trimmed with Pugin Orphreys and lined in red cotton sateen. The veil sits comfortably on

The patterns' origins can be found in Venice from the time of the Doge and most famously can be seen as the hanging in Hans Holbein the Younger's 'The Ambassadors'
