Alexandra Viognier 2024 Hunter ValleyHunter Valley, NSW Grown in the Hunter Valley, this Viognier was harvested, at what we at Vales perceive optimum ripeness, it was destemmed and pressed with one half being fermented in new French oak barrels and the other half in tank. The tank portion expressed a fruit purity and an assertive acidity, whereas the barrel ferment resulted in a wine that has a texture, complexity and flintiness due to the wild ferment. The blending of both portions

then immediately basket pressed and after a short settling period of 3 weeks it was filtered and bottled

Aromas of peach and oak lead to flavours of white nectarine

The tank portion expressed a fruit purity and an assertive acidity

Finishes long with soft and silky tannins

Aromas of blue and red fruits are replicated on the palate that is further enhanced with spice
