Very little rain fall reducing the overall crop by 15% Typical blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, Carignan. 75cl bottle. Abv 13. 5% Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level in neck The Cork Musar corks can be problematic and the estate themselves suggest using prongs rather than a cork screw 2001 seems to be particularly susepatable to them
Sauternes 1er Cru Classé 2010
That said one or two have surprised recently
5cl half bottle
however at a recent tasting (September 2022) this wine showed well
Appellation laws permit a little Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend
Wine level base of neck
The botanicals for this beautiful smooth gin all come from Altonhill Farm
A wine from the Borie Manoux stable and run
label excellent
The grapes are hand harvested at daybreak to keep them cool
So rare to find mature bottles of these Australian classic wines
The 2013 vintage was another where the growing season suited late harvest wines such as this
