Night Raptor

Night RaptorOn a small island NE of Port Hardy Mark noticed this mature Bald Eagle close to the water line whilst passing on a boat. The wind and the current were in the same direction so Mark stopped the boat upwind and shut down the engine. I was photographing this seal sleeping from a distance when in the distance a glacier calved

“Qilalugag” is Narwhal in Inuktitut which roughly translate to “The one that points to the sky”

no distance traffic just nature

then for a reason unbeknownst to me they turned back

they spy hopped close to the boat and we could hear them echo locating underwater through the rubber hull of the zodiac

the moody skies and rolling in from the passage
