The BenRiach Four Cask Maturation 21 Years SM 750mlBenriach 4 Cask Maturation 21 Year Old Single Malt Whisky 750ml. This exquisite single malt has been crafted from a combination of unpeated and peated spirit and four cask matured for at least twenty one years in bourbon barrels, sherry casks, virgin oak casks and Bordeaux red wine casks.
There are also more dried fruits and a few more spices
Matured in carefully selected oak casks
grown in the rich volcanic soils of Jalisco
Clean and very long
I find myself preferring the Coteaux Nobles
The grape is Piedirosso
blueberry and spices
then transferred to a second new American white oak barrel
and Bottled in Washington State
We found due a slightly higher yield the tannins were lovely and refined which enabled us to keep the wine on skins for 8 days before pressing in 2020
