It helps secure the fork guard due to the added stresses induced by any starting device on the plastic fork guard. Our patented fork guard bracket is designed as a thick piece of aluminum to provide proper reinforcement to any fork guard. No flimsy piece of sheet metal
this part fits over the top of the OEM Crankcase Cover for easy installment
