They produce a range of wines under the Toscana IGT, like this Bordeaux blend. A super Tuscan in all but name. Typical blend, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot. 75cl bottle. Abv 13% Bottle condition excellent.

After many years in the ownership of the Crues Negociante firm Chateau Pontet Canet was sold in 1975 to Guy Tesseron

It has built a steady reputation for excellence and the 2019 vintage is considered outstanding by the estate

This beautifully crafted London dry gin is distilled with soft red fruit and lovingly distilled to be crystal clear

Chateau Du Terre performed well in 1987 all be it in a littler style

relying on the skill of the winemaker

it has its own wine making facilities within the vineyards where some of the vines were planted between 1915 and 1920

All in all this is a very nice showing and a lovely old bottle

The palate is a touch thin
