The screw is a nylon tipped, stainless steel screw with a plastic knob that replaces the factory provided mounting set screw. No need to grab your Allen Keys next time you need to case your bow. Disclaimer: In some cases the threads on your bow will need to be cleaned out (see last photo). The knob will make contact with an arrow if using the Mathews low profile
