Sunshine Trees

Sunshine TreesSunshine Trees is an original watercolour and ink painting, painted on watercolour paper. This painting was part of a series of watercolour paintings that I did in preparation for a larger acrylic work of the Larch Trees in the mountains. The gorgeous yellow of these trees is so inspiring to me and makes me think that the trees are, in fact, made entirely out of sunlight. This painting would do well in a frame, and would make a wonderful colourful

it's easy to feel inconsequential but I hope this painting brings lightness and joy in knowing that you do matter: even if you are smaller than a mountain

This painting is inspired by a photo I took of Rundle Mountain when I stopped on the side of the road last summer

The title of this painting comes from a space of feeling grateful for the seasons - as they teach us that change is inevitable

but that our troubles that seem so huge right now might not be all that big in the grand scheme of life
