All the pieces, once assembled, form a cube of a binomial (a+b)3 The square of the binomial is painted on the lid. Presentation Before the presentation, check the box to make sure it has been put back correctly. Introduction Invite the child to come and work with you. Show him the Binomial Cube

Cover the square with the inset

- Carry the remaining cubes one at a time over to the mat

Create a problem

- Have the child place them next to each other (to see the contrast) and in isolation from the other tablets

Place the unneeded tiles off to the side of the table

Point to the 1/8 and tell the child

It is used to develop sensory perception and awareness of the textures of land and water

Repeat for the other four

- You can also close your eyes to feel better

2 sets pf smaller version of number rods in a tray

Introduce the child to the materials on the shelf and have him bring them over to the table

- Some children will be able to do this work in one sitting
