Family PortraitIts incredible to witness these very social animals when they are swimming closely together in a tight group socialising like this. Families are very important in Killer Whales, especially the Southern Residents. These pods will stay together their entire lives, sometime three or four generations swimming side by side. This was a very special image Mark took of a mixture of two local families who were here in the Salish Sea foraging for salmon. The
