and a bit of Syrah and Grenache from the Roussillon region
Pure class
The Kanzel is a part of the old Olberg with a slighter more east orientation as the Möhlin
Drink it on its own or pair it with some spicy roast chicken or oilier fish dishes
But after it opens up it almost reads like Sangiovese with its black cherry
Everything is pressed with a Coquard basket press and aged in a mix of steel and neutral barrels
All of this is aged separately in amphoras and old oak for half a year before the four wines are merged right before bottling
those sharp edges are mostly in the background to provide structure and energy
and boy what a reward we receive from small producers focusing on making wines with character
The midweight palate is lithe
