TI PARTY -PINK REMIXThe Hawaiian Ti plant is traditionally used in hula skirt and lei making. I'm lucky to have a few in my backyard, which a good friend made into a wedding lei po'o for me last year. I had a vision for a painting of pinks and reds, something that radiated warmth and love because that's what the Ti plant represents to me. 16x 20" acrylic on canvas
I’m not brave enough to be in the ocean that late
I made a promise to myself to visit all the places that are usually very crowded
I dried it and hung it on my wall as a memento of my favorite day
a good friend made my wedding lei po’o using ti leaves from my studio
with a 2” minimum “crush zone”
